Today, World Cancer Day, is a good day to look at the following facts and take notice. Every year, about 500,000 people in Germany are diagnosed with cancer. That number is shocking. Fortunately, cancer is being better detected and earlier. The associated chances of recovering are encouraging, as are the possibilities in terms of prevention. Sport and exercise help to reduce the consequences of the disease and aid in its treatment. One of the most common forms of cancer is breast cancer. Cancer is an important topic at the Women´s Race Berlin.
If you notice something "indescribably feminine" between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column and on the paths in Berlin's largest park, there can only be one reason: The Women's Race Berlin is back. Whether you complete 5 or 10 km, as a runner, Nordic walker or power walker - the main thing is to enjoy the movement! And even better: you can get moving for a good cause. Under the motto "Combat cancer", one euro per participant will be donated to selected projects in cooperation with the Berlin Cancer Society. Those who want to go one step further can organise charity teams and push the donation barometer even higher. Register now!
Virtual Women's Race Berlin
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, everyone will be looking forward to a good dose of female power at the Berlin Women's Run in the capital. The only fellows who can participate will be the boys who can join the girls in the Bambini Run. If you can't be there in person on May 14, you can choose the virtual version of the Women's Race Berlin instead, including a care package (we'll keep you up to date on this on our website and on Facebook and Instagram). Registration opens soon. One thing is certain: Whether you start in Berlin or wherever you may be in the world, an exclusive medal awaits you as a reward.
